According to research conducted by U.S Foods and Drugs Administration, 2.5% Kg consumption of Soy daily may reduce the risk of hear diseases and also osteoporosis. Some form of hormone dependent cancers are also prevented by consuming Soy proteins daily.

Especially for children, soy is necessary and soy milk can be used as an alternative to cow’s milk. Soy milk contains all the calcium, proteins, vitamins etc. that an ordinary cow’s milk have. For growing children soy is a good source of iron and also does not unbalance the minerals in the body over long term. Soy doesn’t contain lactose and is therefore good alternative for lactose intolerant people.
